Beginning Counseling

The Counseling Process

Counseling is a collaborative process. Together with your counselor, you will explore the patterns, experiences, and challenges that may be contributing to the difficulties you are experiencing. Through thoughtful conversation, practical tools, and insight, counseling can help you gain greater clarity, develop healthier ways of coping, and move toward lasting personal and relational growth. Each person’s counseling experience is unique, but sessions typically focus on helping you: better understand your thoughts, emotions and relationships. Identify your patterns that may be contributing to stress or conflict. develop practical strategies for managing challenges. work toward personal, relational and spiritual growth.

For clients who desire it, counseling can thoughtfully incorporate Christian faith and Biblical perspectives alongside sound psychological principles. We respect each individual’s spiritual background and will work with you in a way that aligns with your personal values and beliefs.

Length and Frequency of Counseling

Counseling sessions are typically scheduled on a weekly or biweekly basis, depending on your needs and goals.
